TAMPA, Fla. – Dedicated Senior Medical Center started serving Tampa Bay area seniors in October of 2016, and its two neighborhood practices in Lakeland already are destinations of choice for many Medicare beneficiaries. Local seniors are embracing Dedicateds industry-leading access to primary care physicians providing affordable care of the highest quality, and the ChenMed subsidiary is now expediting 2017 openings of three new centers in Tampa, Clearwater and St. Petersburg.
Our new Tampa center will open on July 1. Plus, our Clearwater and St. Petersburg centers will open in August, says Christopher Chen, MD, ChenMed Executive Officer. MIAMI—-ChenMed, a leading primary care provider, and Turner Impact Capital, one of the nations largest social impact investment firms, are expanding their relationship by opening several new Dedicated Senior Medical Centers in Florida this year. The new facilities will bring affordable, concierge-style medical care to thousands of low- and moderate-income Bradenton, Jacksonville and Tampa Bay seniors.
The rapid expansion of Dedicated centers builds on last years successful opening of a Dedicated Senior Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Fla., developed by Turner Impact Capitals Turner Healthcare Facilities Fund. Growth of that Dedicated practice has exceeded all expectations benefiting the community, ChenMed, and Turner Impact Capital investors.
The ongoing partnership between ChenMed and Turner Impact Capital enabled three Dedicated primary care practices to open doors to patients on July 2 in Bradenton and Jacksonville. A fourth Dedicated center developed independently also opened on July 2 in Jacksonville. Turner Impact Capital investments will be instrumental in helping ChenMed establish two additional Dedicated centers in Tampa Bay this fall.

Dedicateds new East Tampa center will open just prior to Independence Day at 3128 East Hillsborough Avenue, and will feature a multi-use community activity area, and 23 physician/patient examination rooms.
Dedicated also is adding noteworthy physician and examination room capacity to better serve rapidly growing numbers of Lakeland seniors. At Lakeland North, Dedicated is adding 15 physician/patient examination rooms, and at Lakeland South, its adding 12 physician/patient examination rooms.
