What Are The Benefits Of Living In A Senior Mobile Home Park

Florida Mobile Homes for Sale (cheap in 55 plus communities) 12.5K

Senior living mobile home parks are often affordable alternatives to living in a single family home. Most tenants pay rent on their space and own the mobile home. That means they pay a low monthly rent and can live in a larger home. Mobile homes come in single, double, and triple wide width. They can be one bedroom and larger. Most lots are small offering enough space for the mobile home and a small yard.

Another benefit is that the community is organized around the needs of seniors. People here can enjoy the park’s amenities without having to compete with those amenities with kids and families.

The park’s amenities are designed around senior needs and they provide an opportunity to socialize with people in the same age range.

There are many benefits of living in a senior mobile home park. If you are traveling in your RV, senior mobile home parks often have spaces that allow you to park your RV for months on end. They make great destinations for Snowbirds and other seniors who escape the harsher weather in one area of the world and to take up temporary residence in another.

    The Home Of The Future

For feeling good while getting around, its pretty hard to beat the mild glide of a golf cart.

But the residents of Sleepy Hollow Mobile Estates wake each day determined to try.

    Good morning!

Its a great one, isnt it?

    Its a great one.

Every soul Larry Myott encounters on a scoot around Lazy Loop, the narrow main drag of the 154-home trailer park, has a hand raised in welcome and a hello as warm and clear as the sky overhead. On the January morning I rode shotgun, the chipper well-wishers included the guy who, the night before, lost the election for the parks highest elected office and lost it to Myott. It is as if the entire enclavethe pool, the smooth black pathways, the clubhouse, all devoted to the exclusive use of residents at least 55 years of ageglides on a thin film of some invisible and frictionless fluid. Maybe cooking oil. Possibly BS.

Oh, its bullsh-t, says Myott, who at 73 has given the matter some thought. Resolute good cheer is a conscious choice, he believes, grounded in the reality that physically looms in front of the residents: a miniature lighthouse at the park entrance, its base paved with bricks bearing the names of neighbors who have died . Forget its there and the road outside takes you past a hospital, a nursing home , a hospice and, off First Avenue, a cemetery.

Life, in other words, is to be embraced while it still hugs back. Not everything has to be absolutely perfect.

    Mobile Homes In Florida

Florida was one of the original locations where mobile homes were first built in the 1940s. Despite countless devastating hurricanes and tropical storms, their popularity continues unabated. Although the structures are not typically as long-lasting as regular sticks and bricks buildings, this long history — coupled with sales of new-build homes — means that a tremendous amount of choice is available for people intending to buy.

Is It Worth Buying A Mobile Home In Florida

If you ask us, well tell you that purchasing a mobile home in Florida is worth it. These homes tend to be more affordable, which means you can live in a lovely home while spending that extra money however you want!

Another reason we believe buying a mobile home in this state is worth it is because you can live in a community with people around your age. It means you can be amongst like-minded people and make some wonderful new friends with who you can enjoy the golden years.

    Mobile Homes And Manufactured Homes

Mobile homes and manufactured homes are entirely different beasts, both in terms of structure and according to how they are seen by municipal authorities and local code enforcement officers. Mobile homes are just that: They are constructed on a metal chassis that has axles, wheels and a towing tongue. They can, and typically are, towed into position, then raised up onto piles the wheels are often then removed and reused. Manufactured homes are built off-site, but largely as regular homes are. They have floors, walls and roofs constructed of heavy timbers that are clad and decorated, but are built at a central assembly plant to minimize inconvenience. When finished, they are transported on flat-bed trucks to their intended location and, once installed, are typically never moved again. The codes that mandate standards for manufactured-home builders are every bit as rigorous as those regulating on-site home builders. Since 1994, federal code has mandated that all manufactured homes intended for use in coastal counties be engineered to withstand sustained winds of 110 mph and three-second gusts of up to 150 mph.
