Finding a suitable apartment in a big city like Chicago can be quite a struggle, especially if you don’t know where to start. The challenge also magnifies as housing expenses in Chicago are 59% higher than the national average, and locating one within budget can be difficult for many seniors.

Fortunately, Chicago subsidized senior housing programs are available to help low-income individuals live comfortably without putting a strain on their finances. Most senior citizens rely on a fixed income and are often unable to keep up with the rising inflation. Through these programs, eligible seniors can receive assistance that covers a major portion of their rent. This way, they have a significant amount left over every month for various expenses and unpredictable needs.

Conditions And Disease States

Our caregivers are trained, skilled, and experienced in managing a range of conditions and disease states. Among these are recovery and rehabilitation from orthopedic surgery: hip and knee replacement shoulder and back surgery and much more. We are also experts in personalizing home care assistance for people living with cancer, stroke and cardiovascular disease, Parkinsons, Alzheimers and dementia, hospice care, and family respite care. It is important to note that while our focus is on senior care, we also regularly provide care for adults who are not yet seniors and who may be facing condition- or disease-related challenges.

Regardless of disease state, condition, or age, working with Amada Senior Care Chicago helps reduce hospital readmissions, meaning we keep people safe at home and out of hospitals and skilled nursing/rehab facilities. We help people safely age in place. We are able to provide care from 24-hours a day, 7-days a week to just a few times a week. We understand the mental, physical, and emotional investment family members make in caring for a loved one can be overwhelming. This is especially true for those receiving hospice care. Very often, giving family a respite from the intensity of caring for a loved one in end stages is just as important as repositioning and toileting someone who is bedbound. Amadas caregivers provide a welcome respite from the continuous care of a loved one giving family and friends time to recharge.
