We Have Not Used The Service In Over A
We have not used the service in over a year. they “auto-renewed” the billing on 8/2/22. I reached out to them on 8/2, 8/3, and now 4-5 additional times. “we have a no refund policy,” they say. they will downgrade the subscription but bill for “one month” the premium. This is a ridiculous scam. You cannot auto-renew without warning customers. We did not even know we still had an active subscription. They give you a run around and there is no customer service phone number to call. Do not EVER use these services.

Carecom Reviews And Complaints
As I mentioned earlier, my daughter recently completed her babysitting certification and although I was somewhat familiar with Care.com, I began researching them further thinking they could be an option for her to find work.
I was hoping to find some positive reviews but unfortunately, after going through hundreds of them there’s not many people with good things to say.
On sitejabber alone there are over 1200 reviews and more than 1000 have given them the lowest rating of one star.
There are those 600+ complaints at the Better Business Bureau, and another 220 negative reviews with only one thats positive .
Im highly skeptical of scam accusations and negative reviews, generally giving the benefit of the doubt to the company. Im certain there are many great people who work for Care.com and quite often these issues persist simply because of poor communication.
So let’s look into the common problems people are talking about.
Ui Should Be Better For The Cost
For $150/year I would expect a better app. I mean it accomplished what I needed it to but come on. The app UI is terrible, I moved and can’t update my location and have yet to receive a response from customer service. For $15 or 20 I would understand, for 150 there is no excuse. Fix your app UI, it’s terrible.

Is Carecom Safe To Use
Just like any online platform, you will find a mixed bag of people, most of whom are genuinely looking for work or to connect with caregivers. As with other social networking sites, there are also troublemakers who have unethical intentions and are only looking for an opportunity to cheat someone.
In the past, the users of Care.com have reported that there are a lot of scammers who have posted fake jobs using fake IDs just to get your personal information to misuse it or just to waste peoples time. There have also been instances where sitters have given incorrect information about their qualifications and Care.com has not verified this information.
These safety issues stem from Care.coms induction process which doesnt include a mandatory background check, allowing anyone who wants to earn a few extra bucks to create a caregiver profile. Admitting unfit and inadequate sitters has resulted in poor childcare services that leave families with the feeling of distrust. It is always advisable to sign up for the background check that Care.com offers to show yourself as a trustworthy and legitimate caregiver. It is also important to protect your information and only disclose it with discretion.

While it is the convenience that lures you towards Care.com, families are always a little apprehensive and hesitant because they wonder if Care.com is safe and reliable.

All of this brings me to a key point: if you choose to use Care.com, then by all means be aggressive in applying to as many jobs as possible, but don’t expect a response. The right family will eventually find you.
The first family that contacted me explained it this way: “When we posted the job, we got at least eight offers from potential babysitters, but none of them were what we were looking for. I Hired A Caregiver From Care To Come
I hired a caregiver from Care to come on SundayMornings. She came only 2 weekends and after that she would text me at 3 am on Sunday mornings that she wouldnt be able to come because of some emergency. Initially I believed it but later on she wouldnt even inform me. On top of it, she tortured me with some text messages. I reported all of this to Care and they did nothing other than wasting my time. They could have returned my subscription fee just as a courtesy for everything I had to go through. Care simply kept saying refund is not our policy. So basically this company is hire from our site but at your own risk

A background check is the most important part of the Care.com screening process, known as CareCheck.
Whats included in CareCheck?

After successfully passing this process, you get a CareCheck badge which will be available on your profile for families to make sure they can trust you.

$40/month for a subscription and no accountability for the quality of their caregivers.Most of the ‘individuals’ I contacted wanted to refer me out to their business. They seem to have a profile for the sake of pushing out of care.com .After hours of scrubbing through profiles and contacting people who were either not available , no responses, or referrals to their companies, I finally got someone who no-called because she had a sore throat .Worst part for me is that care.com’s response was, “you should keep trying”. How many hours do they expect you to spend scrubbing through their users – isn’t their job to moderate their User base? They don’t give refunds because it’s not their fault.
