- clinical assessment centres
- non-clinical assessment centres
- participating community labs
- participating pharmacies
Some testing locations may also have PCR self-collection kits available, which allow you to collect the sample on your own , then return it to the testing location for processing by a lab.
Private COVID19 tests, such as those that may be needed for outbound international travel, are also available for purchase throughout Ontario.
Certain private clinics may take blood to do an antibody or serology test to tell you if you had the virus in the past. This test has significant limitations and is not used routinely in Ontario, except in limited situations. Ask your doctor or health care provider for more information.

D Senior Savings Model
The Inflation Reduction Act caps cost-sharing for each insulin product covered under a Medicare prescription drug plan at $35 for a months supply, beginning January 1, 2023. Also, Part D deductibles will not apply to these covered insulin products. The Part D Senior Savings Model, which first tested a similar benefit in Model-participating plans, will end on December 31, 2023.
CMS is pleased that this benefit, which closely aligns with what was offered through the Part D Senior Savings Model, will now be available to all people with Medicare prescription drug coverage.
While CMS will not proceed with testing the Model in CY 2024 and CY 2025, it continues to have a meaningful impact on the CMS Innovation Centers work and longer-term goal of realizing a health care system that achieves equitable outcomes through high-quality, affordable, person-centered care.

This voluntary Model began on January 1, 2021. The Models test contributes to the modernization of the Part D benefit and enhanced access to prescription drugs for Medicare beneficiaries.
